I thought I'd start with something for the heart of the home - the kitchen. Joana Meroz makes clever and beautiful work by applying ornament to mundane and simple pieces. I'm particularly drawn to her lace drains and the lace drain colander, as she says "adding perhaps a little pleasure to the user when facing the task of doing the dishes or cleaning the sink".
